The filter that I used on this photo was the Craquelure Filter.  I really like the texture that it added to the picture.

The filter that I used for this photo is the Stamp Filter in the Sketch Filter List.  I really liked the drawing effect in this picture.

Dodge & Burn Effect

The way I did this adjustment to the photo was by following the photoessentials.com tutorial on dodge and burn effects.  I made a new layer with the overlay option and darkened the background and my face a little bit.  I think the background looks much better in the edited photo.

Photo Adjustment #2

My Sister's Car Accident

 Edited Photo

This photo was a lot easier to edit than my first adjustment project.  What I did with this one is just messed around with the sliders in the brightness/contrast, levels, exposure, and vibrance options in the image adjustment menu until I was happy with what I saw.  The new edited photo looks much better than the original photo in my opinion.

Photo Adjustment #1

Sunset Snowmobile Ride @ Jay Peak

Edited Photo

After playing with this photo on photoshop, I found it to be very challenging.  I was trying to make the photo look a lot better than the original, but I also wanted to keep it looking realistic.  It took me a while to teach myself how to edit the background and the foreground separately  but I finally started to figure it out.  The tool I used to select each part was the Quick Selection Tool.  I found that was working the best for me, but I still believe there are better ways out there that I don't know about yet for editing this photo.  Being critical of myself, I would say that there there is so much contrast between the sky in the background and the foreground, but I really liked the color that I found with the sky, so I stuck with it.

Landscape Photography

I took each of these landscape photos at Jay Peak.  My favorite thing about landscape photography is that nature can make such beautiful moments to capture with a camera.  These photos were taken late in the day.  Right before the sun sets is my favorite time to capture these moments, because the lighting looks the best in my opinion.  My favorite photos that I took were the ones where the clouds are floating below the mountain tops.  When you see it, it is almost like you are looking at a large body of water and it is very neat.
