The three different lighting setting that I used in this photo set was natural light and no flash for the first photo, natural light with flash in the second photo, and candle light for the last three photos. The photo that I personally like the most is the second, because I liked the way the color of the background looked behind the roses with the flash giving it a subtle shadow in the background. I also thought the candle light pictures were kind of cool, because it made everything a red-ish color and romanticized the subject. It was an effect that I did not expect.





These are excellent examples of how light can affect a photograph. If you notice how the flash sort of flattens that second photograph, perhaps you can try putting some kind of thin paper or thin cloth in front of it to diffuse some of the harshest light. So, you will still get that nice color without flattening your subject so much. I agree, the candlelight images are absolutely stunning. You can compensate for this color change by adjusting your white balance in your camera (if you have this capability in your machine).
